The horror of employee theft is the realisation that you have been betrayed by a trusted employee. This is quite confronting and a lot of fraud goes unreported due to businesses not wanting to air their ‘dirty laundry: “I’ve yet to see anyone come right, even when they get the money back,” Ron says. “It’s a horrible, horrible betrayal of trust.
